Guys… this was by far one of my favorite sessions + experiences I have ever gotten to be apart of. You want to know why? Because the Lord was so present… so, so present.
So let me go back a little bit… a few weeks ago, I got a message from Davis telling me how he is planning the most intentional proposal for his girlfriend, Savannah. I was obviously all for it + was so honored that I was going to get to capture this moment for this sweet couple that I had never met. So fast forward to this past Sunday, the day Davis was asking Savannah to spend forever with him as his wife. ALL THE HEART EYES! That morning + the entire car ride to Pretty Place, I was overwhelmed with emotions. Why? Because I knew that the Lord had put me in this exact place for a purpose of serving this couple. On the way to their proposal, I cried + prayed over this couple. Not because I was sad, but because I felt extremely grateful for the clients that the Lord has given me this past year. He orchestrated this in such a way that was ultimately serving to Him.
The Proposal:
Davis booked Pretty Place for the afternoon. If you haven’t been, YOU NEED TO GO!!! It is amazing! Their families were hidden, I was hidden, + their worship pastor at the Church Savannah’s dad pastors at was playing worship music with the simplicity of his acoustic guitar. Yall… you would have thought that I was the one getting engaged because I couldn’t stop crying. Davis + Sav walked in a Davis just held her, hugged her, kissed her, + just took in every single moment. Then he gently pulled Savannah to the cross, read scripture over the two of them, prayed over them, + then got down on one knee + asked her to spend forever with him.
Yall… I can’t explain to you how present the Lord was in that moment. After he proposed, they turned around + their entire family was behind them. After a few moments, Davis asked if they could all worship together. From the beginning of planning their proposal, this was VERY important to Davis. This was the way that he wanted to start this new season of their life together. And I couldn’t agree more! This day was filled with so much love, intentionality, but most importantly… Jesus.
Davis + Savannah, thank you! Thank you for letting me be apart of this special moment for you guys. You will never understand how much it meant to me. This was more than just photography for me. It was purpose. The Lord knit + orchestrated this moment for me to meet these two sweet, perfect humans. He reminded me that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in this season of my life. I got to experience all of this all because two strangers trusted me. Thank you, Jesus for this sweet job that allows me to serve my people in a Jesus-filled way.
