Dreamy Snowy Wedding | Kristen + Tripp

3/05/2020

If you follow me on social media, you know that I got to shoot the most dreamy wedding IN THE FREAKING SNOW!!! Guys, it was such a dream!

The morning started off with the girls getting ready in the cutest little cottage. When I walked in, joy was just radiating from Kristen. Kristen from the very beginning was the most laid back bride + she truly trusted me to have her best intentions at heart when I was telling hers and Tripps’ story. Kristen was ecstatic that it was snowing on her wedding day. Not just a little snow, but A LOT of snow coming down. The whole time, Kristen did not care that her hair + her dress were getting wet, she was just so present in the moment that she choose to laugh + dance. Goodness… it was the best ever. She even decided last minute to wear Crocs and I was here for it!! They were blue so I guess that counts as her “something blue” am I right?

Fast forward to later that day when Kristen + Tripp had their first look! I found the cutest back road that was surrounded by the prettiest trees + covered with snow. As soon as I saw it, I knew that was where we were going to do their first look. It was straight out of a fairy tale. As soon as Tripp saw Kristen, he was in pure awe. He couldn’t stop looking at her, smiling, laughing, + crying. I mean come on… it was the sweetest ever! Kristen + Tripp decided to read letters they had written to one another. There was not a dry eye around. Everyone was crying! The entire day was so intentional. You could feel how present the Lord was in every single detail of their day. Kristen + Tripp were so present + embraced every single emotion.

As a photographer, I try to remind my bride + grooms to be present + spend some intentional time with one another because it is so important! Your wedding day is only one day + it will literally fly by. I don’t want you to wake up the next morning and say “did we even talk to one another yesterday?” When I first meet with all of my bride + grooms, I tell them this. I tell them that I am going to encourage them all day to stop and take five minutes for one another. I want you to be able to look back on your wedding day + remember that 5-10 minutes of alone time. I want you to remember those moments when I snuck you out somewhere so you and your hubby could chat and kiss a little bit with no audience. I want you to remember when I helped shove some cake down your throat in the back of a kitchen at your venue because YOU DESERVE IT!! I want you to remember how much fun we had at your bride + groom photos just hanging out + dancing around. I want you to feel every single emotion. Kristen + Tripp did just that!

Kristen + Tripp,

Thank you for trusting me to tell your story. Your story i one of my favorites. I am cheering you on in marriage + I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses you both for His kingdom. Love you both SO much + I will forever be a big fan of the Bennetts!! #KristentakesalifelongTripp
